Edgardo V. Buenaventura, MD, FPAFP
Chairman, Department of Family and Community Medicine |
The Family Residency Training Program aims to develop competent, compassionate and board eligible Family Physicians.
In 1992, the BIHMI re-opened its doors to the public as an out-patient service clinic, after 7 years of closure. As a community oriented institution, one of its objectives is to provide training for community health practitioners. This gave birth to a Family Medicine Practice, initially as an out-patient service. The Family Medicine Services gradually increased its clientele thus required the services of other medical specialists. On its fifth year of operation, BIHMI has formed the Family Medicine Residency Training, later it has expanded to include other residency training program. |
